Mathilda's
MUD2Weeks: Fortnight ending Saturday 29th August 1998
It's been a funny
couple of weeks in MUD2 land. From my own point of view, being so
close (yet so far) to wiz level, I've found myself a lot more
observant and wary of the numerous pk-ers who seem to come
crawling out of the woodwork as soon as I have finished sipping
my tea. Who are these people - where do they come from? I am sure
the land was far less dangerous when I first started out.
It all started off well... the evil mage Kuurus was hunted down by Karya and her team; great, I thought, one less problem to deal with it. But how wrong I was. They've been turning up one after another. I was lucky the first time, Thwomp was with me at the gargoyles when Grebo came along armed with his halberd and showing no mercy, soon to be followed by Ratcatcher - one of Grebo's other personae, I think. We killed Grebo, and Ratcatcher was just a little too slow. With Quaint showing his face from time to time, TheSaint (hardly) scoring points like a wizrunner and Pistolwhip attacking at every opportunity, the land is indeed a dangerous place. To avoid losing 15K a reset my best current tactic is looking like log on quickly, score a quick 100 points and logout. Is this what all the other mages doing, because I've seen very few around this week - well certainly between the hours of 6pm and 12pm which is when I generally play.
The mage curfew is finished though and that's a relief, possible Bubble's equivalent of a hunger strike had something to do with it? Well anyway, that's about all I have to say for now. Watch out for mages though, the next two weeks are gonna be tough - with at least ten or so mages heading for wiz, the wiz killers are going to be out in force. Good Luck :)
Mathilda.
